Likusta Umwelttechnik GmbH - Germany biofilter systems are designed as single or multistage units according to the actual requirement for instance with a preset humidifier, bio- or chemical scrubber.

Due to close cooperation with universities, and research centers, latest scientific knowledge is available during process engineering. Applications of environmentally friendly systems for biological gas treatment increase steadily nowadays. The polluted gas passes through a pourus carrier. The micro organisms settling on the organic carrier convert air pollutants into CO2 and water.

Liku-Tech / Likusta Umwelttechnik GmbH - Germany offers Chemical based wet Scrubbers that are efficiently and effectively designed to remove gas pollutants. Often these pollutants are chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, chlorine or sulfur compounds. Chemical Scrubbers work by dissolving or absorbing the pollutant into the scrubbing liquid. The scrubbing liquid used will depend on the properties of the targeted pollutant.

High efficiency removal of many gas pollutants is common in many applications. Chemical based wet scrubber selection will depend on the operating process characteristics and the particular pollutant(s) that is being removed. We work closely with our customers to determine the appropriate technology to use depending on their process and the application.

Activated Carbon Filters are designed and used for the removal of vapors and odours which still may be present within the air or gas flow.

The main odorous gases commonly found in sewage / biogas are:
  • Hydrogen sulphide
  • Indole and skatole

Biotrickling filter combines the advantages of biofilter and bioscrubber processes for purifying waste gas. Waste gas flows through a biomedia filter bed. An automatically controlled spraying nozzles system is installed above the biomedia filter bed in order to spray water with nutrients and minerals water onto the filter bed.

The nutrient liquid ensures optimum biological process conditions for the microorganisms, which settle to the surface of the filter bed’s carrier material.

The microorganisms convert the pollutants into CO2 and water. The nutrient liquid re-enters the filter by spraying nozzles due to a circulation system.

Chlorine-Emergency-Neutralization devices are scrubbers for the prevention of Chlorine emissions in case of accidents caused by the deliberation of Chlorine from storage tanks, drums, Chlorine bottles or Chlorine dosage facilities used in water treatment and chemical industry.
An alarm is set by a Chlorine alarm system which then activates the LIKUSTA-Chlorine-neutralization-unit. The exhaust air is guided through the Likusta Umwelttechnik GmbH - Germany counterflow packed scrubber by means of a chemically resistant fan. According to the size of the facility a certain amount of washfluid (10 - 20 % NaOH) is sprayed via nozzles into the counterflow by means of an immersion pump.

The heat of the chemical reaction during the washing process is absorbed by the washing liquid itself. For the generation of the required exchange surface chemically resistant packing materials are used.
The packing materials provide for the maximum exchange surface and smallest unit size with a minimum of energy needed. Before the neutralized exhaust air leaves the scrubber, mist and aerosols are retained by a demister unit with an efficiency of 98%.
The neutralization units are designed for transportation in sea containers (export) and - if required for transportation purposes - provided with a separating flange. The assembly of the unit as well as the start up can be done by the customer since all components are already hooked up and electrically connected.

Supplemental Carbon addition in denitrification systems

Increasing nitrate discharge values induce operators of waste water treatment plants to use carbon dosing technology to ensure observance of limit values and efficiency of effluent treatment units.

Supplemental of diverse C source substrates expands biomass´ activity respectively excludes the lack of nutrient by operational disturbance or shutdown during weekends.

Size of operating unit and choice of substrate is determined by waste water treatment plant.

Possible substrates are acetic acid, glucose etc. without any ex-proof requirements. In case of non observing limit values, methanol and ethanol feeding is appropriate to increase denitrification rate. But if the substrate is overfed, it will not be completely consumed by the biological process which will result in elevated effluent biochemical oxygen demand concentrations.

Our dosing units allow a precise control of chemical dosage, that helps to minimize chemical costs.

All tanks are custom-made. The storage capacity ranges from 0,1 – 50 m³.

For your convenience, we also may organize the transport / shipping to your construction at site – also abroad. Alternatively we also may weld individual tanks on site.

MBR PACKAGE PLANTS

LIKU-TECH/MARTIN Systems is offering you a compact package system transforming sewage to clear and high quality water. The small footprint of the treatment technology enables the systems to be integrated in natural, picturesque surroundings and to treat wastewater for irrigation use.

LIKU-TECH/MARTIN Systems has the core technology inside the MBR which consists of polypropylene plates with a polymeric membrane on each side. The membrane is welded on rigid frame. The module reduces virus and bacteria by 99.9999 %. Filter plates are continuously aerated through bubble diffusers to keep them clean. The membranes don’t need regular chemical cleaning except one or two maintenance clearings per year.

LIKU-TECH/MARTIN Systems is developing compact package systems for MBR plants so that up to 1000 m³/day can be filtered in one 40-foot ISO container. The inside tanks are made of stainless steel sheets.


AQUA CUBE

The AQUA CUBE is a cost effective, compact and mobile water treatment plant based on a modular membrane filtration system that enables available water resources to be used in particular purposes such as service water or drinkable water.

The AQUA CUBE is a plug and play device. It is easy to install and operate, has a very low energy consumption, and it is ready to use. Depending on the capacity and type of the plant, installation and operation is even possible without any need of electrical energy or other consumables. PAUL WATERBACKPACK

PAUL is a water filter that ensures a fast supply of drinking water either in disaster areas or in rural areas. The device filters pathogens out of the water, making it drinkable and offering effective protection against cholera, typhus and other infectious diseases. PAUL can be carried by only one person as a backpack to remote areas since it weighs only 20 kg. PAUL filters at least 1,200 litres of water each day and can thus supply up to 400 people.
